About the Role
This is a senior-level position that requires substantial experience in pharmacovigilance or drug development. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in safety evaluation and risk management, encompassing both clinical development and post-marketing activities.
Main Responsibilities
- Provides medical/scientific expertise in the safety evaluation and risk management of key assets in clinical development and/or the post-marketing setting.
- Evaluates and interprets data to identify potential safety issues and makes recommendations for further characterization, management, and communication of safety risks.
- Supports the pharmacovigilance and benefit-risk management of assigned portfolio of global assets to ensure patient safety globally.
- Liaises with cross-functional teams to drive efforts to improve adherence to regulations, data standards, quality, and efficiency.
Key Requirements
- Health Sciences/Health Care Professional degree required (e.g., BSc, MS, PhD, RN/BSN/MSN, NP, RPh/B Pharm/Pharm D). Advanced degree preferred.
- Substantial experience in pharmacovigilance or drug development.
- Knowledge/experience of international pharmacovigilance requirements (e.g., ICH, GVP modules, CIOMS initiatives) and drug development and approval processes.
- Experience working in large matrix organizations.
