EHS Director

We are seeking an EHS Director to lead our Environmental Health and Safety team in Bangalore. As a key member of our organization, you will be responsible for ensuring the health and safety of our employees and stakeholders.
About You
We value passion and attitude over experience. A degree in Environmental Science, Safety Management, or a related field is required. Experience or understanding of EHS regulations and risk management, knowledge of industry best practices and standards, familiarity with project management and oversight of subcontractors, and a professional certification in EHS are also necessary. Strong leadership and communication skills are essential, as well as the ability to work collaboratively in a multicultural environment.
Job Responsibilities
As an EHS Director, you will be responsible for conducting EHS Risk Assessments, crafting emergency plans, and ensuring the rigorous implementation of Alstom EHS standards. You will work closely with teams across the business, oversee subcontractor activities for EHS compliance, and exercise your authority to halt operations in the event of immediate risk to people or the environment. You will also guide and evaluate the EHS teams within the project, facilitate communication with social and medical partners regarding EHS matters, and deliver EHS support during project execution and auditing EHS plan implementation.
