**Mission of the Role**:
The HR Business Partner will work closely with senior leaders of the IS&T India organization to develop an HR agenda that closely supports the overall aims of the organization and strategic business objectives. Work with the CHRD in executing Alstom’s Human Resources strategy for the country. Work with HRBP - IS&T Global in partnering and driving the HR strategy for the function in India.

**RESPONSIBILITIES**:
**HR Business Partnering**:

- Counselling Business on HR topics
- Supporting management at India level in attracting, developing, retaining and engaging of talent.
- Work with Business Leaders to forecast and support recruitment for site.
- Work in close collaboration with HR CoEs in designing and implementing HR processes and policies.
- Be proximate to the business - both line managers and employees, in order to understand their issues and prepare HR actions to address them.
- Implement the Alstom In Motion (AiM) strategy for the business. Understand and prioritize business needs, and translate them into HR actions and delivery plan, and then deliver seamlessly.
- Ensure that all policy and rules are followed according to the Delegation of Authority.
- Advice, support and influence management on all HR related issues, policies and processes.
- Deploy HR Tools (ALPs/ HRIS) and assure sustainability of accuracy of data, and develop and use metrics to measure HR performances, including introducing tools at appropriate time with support from P&T.
- Supervise and lead local HR to deliver day to day operational support (People process, data accuracy, EHS policy).
- Facilitate the budget process for his/her scope and is accountable for his/her budget. Participate in the Site budget exercise through inputs on Head count aligned with budget, Overheads of salaries and Expat Expenses (whenever applicable)
- Align with internal stakeholders to support employee engagement activities (CSR, HR-CoEs, Ethics & Compliance, EHS, Diversity & Inclusion etc.).
- Ensure cultural cohesiveness between the ways of working of the Indian site with the other global sites.
- Ensure site adherence to Alstom Ethics & Compliance policies and processes by facilitating awareness sessions.

**Talent Acquisition**:

- Understand the market criticality /Niche skills situation in India and plan the recruitment strategies.
- Ensure staffing and HR support are secured on time while adhering to Organizational focus e.g. Diversity hiring.
- Prepare manpower/workforce planning as solid base for recruitment, and create succession plans, and assure enough anticipation and effective implementation.
- Ensure adherence to on-boarding, induction processes. Assimilation of new joiners into Alstom culture and ways of working.
- Maintain the robust campus hiring programme for Management Trainees in IS&T India

**Total Rewards**:

- Work closely with C&B and CHRD to develop appropriate policies and practices and to align Alstom practices with evolution of market.
- Assure implementation of annual salary review and STI/bonus payments on time.
- Follow-up of the incentive schemes set up by the Company.
- Assure job grading is maintained up-to-date, and develop at the appropriate time, supported by C&B.
- Highlight any C&B issues to CHRD and Management.

**Talent Development**:

- Coordinate with Talent Management and L&D teams to execute the behavioral training and competency enhancement plans for the business.
- Focus on Talent Development - facilitate engagement and development through various global forums.
- Build managers’ ownership of the management of their people, including coaching at a senior level.
- Fostering Career conversations, proper feedback culture in business.
- Implement the Alstom performance management system.
- Monitor the progress of poor performers and decide on action plan with business as and when required.
