Job Description

As a BizOps SRE, you will play a key role in maintaining the current BMC Discovery infrastructure and leading the development of new solutions to meet internal company needs. This includes configuring, deploying, and administering Linux-based systems across multiple environments.

You will be responsible for troubleshooting network connectivity and credential issues, discussing, planning, and managing change implementation for upgrades, releases, migrations, and other maintenance tasks.

Additionally, you will monitor and respond to system alerts and failures, develop plans to improve quality for each project that impacts the platform, and ensure platform procedures are developed with best practices and standards.

Required Skills & Qualifications
  • BS degree in Computer Science, Network Engineering, or equivalent practical experience (at least four years)
  • Systematic problem-solving approach, coupled with strong communication skills and a sense of ownership and drive
  • Experience in dealing with difficult situations and making decisions with a sense of urgency
  • Security-first mentality
  • Customer-first mentality
  • Extensive experience with Linux operating systems
  • BMC Discovery administration experience
  • SNMP walk and MIB-tree review experience a plus
  • Understanding of ITIL basics and the principles of change control management is ideal
