About the Position

We are seeking a skilled professional to fill this key role.

Job Summary:

  • This is a senior-level position that requires 5-8 years of experience in software development, infrastructure engineering, or a related field.
  • You will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining core components of our internal developer platform, including APIs, tools, and infrastructure.
  • You will also work closely with development teams to understand their needs and pain points, providing training and support to developers on how to use the platform effectively.

Main Responsibilities:

  1. Design, develop, and maintain the core components of our internal developer platform.
  2. Create self-service capabilities that enable developers to provision infrastructure, deploy applications, and manage their environments independently.
  3. Implement and maintain infrastructure-as-code (IaC) using tools like Terraform, CloudFormation, or similar.
  4. Develop and maintain golden paths for common development tasks, ensuring consistency and best practices.
  5. Contribute to the overall architecture and design of our cloud infrastructure.
  6. Evaluate and integrate new technologies and tools into the platform.
  7. Automate infrastructure provisioning, application deployment, and other repetitive tasks.
  8. Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines to streamline the software delivery process.
  9. Identify and eliminate bottlenecks in the development workflow.
  10. Implement monitoring and alerting systems to ensure the health and performance of the platform.

Necessary Skills:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field, or equivalent experience.
  • 5+ years of experience in software development, infrastructure engineering, or a related role.
  • Strong understanding of cloud computing concepts and technologies (AWS, Azure, GCP).
  • Experience with infrastructure-as-code (IaC) tools (e.g., Terraform, CloudFormation).
  • Experience with containerization technologies (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes).
  • Experience with CI/CD pipelines and automation tools (e.g., Jenkins, GitLab CI, CircleCI).
  • Proficiency in at least one programming language (e.g., Python, Go, Java).
  • Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills.

Favorable Experience:

  • Experience building and maintaining internal developer platforms.
  • Experience with API design and development.
  • Experience with configuration management tools (e.g., Ansible, Chef, Puppet).
  • Experience with monitoring and logging tools (e.g., Prometheus, Grafana, ELK stack).
  • Experience with security best practices and compliance requirements.
  • Experience with Agile development methodologies.
  • Contributions to open-source projects.
