Master Equipment Designer

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and develop novel food processing equipment from prototyping to large-scale manufacturing.
  • Participate in product and process optimization initiatives to improve efficiency, reduce costs, and enhance productivity.
  • Develop material characterization tools and quality control systems to support product development and maintain quality standards.
  • Perform advanced engineering calculations, CAD designs, simulations, and analysis to ensure the structural integrity and performance of mechanical components.
  • Support scaling up bench-top equipment to full-scale manufacturing lines.
  • Ensure compliance with industry regulations, safety guidelines, and quality standards.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Engineering Design, Applied Mechanics, or related fields.
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in New Product Development (NPD), Machine Design, and/or Complex Assembly Design, and simulation.
  • Strong proficiency in CAD software (e.g., SolidWorks, AutoCAD) and FEA analysis tools.
  • Proficient in GD&T, DFM, DFA, and understanding of manufacturing processes.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Knowledge of programming languages like Python, C++, and/or PLCs is a plus.
