Job DescriptionThe REALM Team in Hyderabad is seeking a skilled System Dev Engineer/DevOps professional to act as first-level support for all incoming production software application issues related to 100+ different services in Amazon Transportation Technology. This role involves specializing in application support for WW Amazon transportation systems, with a focus on troubleshooting, diagnosing, and fixing production software issues, developing monitoring solutions, and performing software maintenance and configuration.
This position requires constant problem-solving, learning quickly, and working on diverse tasks to ensure success. High-impact production issues often require coordination between multiple Development, Operations, and IT Support groups, offering a broad range of impact across various teams.
Main Responsibilities- Troubleshoot, diagnose, and fix production software issues;
- Develop monitoring solutions and perform software maintenance and configuration;
- Implement fixes for internally developed code (Perl, Ruby, Java);
- Perform SQL queries, update, track, and resolve technical challenges;
- Work alongside development on Amazon Corporate and Divisional Software projects;
- Update/enhance current software, automate support processes, and document systems;
- Detailed-oriented individual with superior verbal and written communication skills;
- Strong organizational skills, able to juggle multiple tasks simultaneously;
- Able to work independently and maintain professionalism under pressure;
- Ability to identify problems before they happen and implement solutions that detect and prevent outages;
- Accurate prioritization of projects, sound judgments, and ability to improve the customer experience;
- As a System Development Engineer, you will play a vital role in leveraging supporting and developing technologies on any platform to increase global collaboration, efficiency, and meet our controller ship requirements;
- Directly work with development teams to improve applications by conducting technical mitigations and deep dives on reported issues to find causes and corrective actions;
- Work with other technical teams to ensure design effectiveness and complements our in-house custom-developed applications across platform stacks (including SQL, Java/.NET/C#/Perl/Python) or SaaS;
- Work on proactive detection mechanisms to report dips in software performance by building efficient metrics/monitors/alarms using in-house tools;
- Build tools and automations to optimize the system, simplify processes, etc.
₹1200000 - ₹1800000 per annum, depending on experience and qualifications.
