Job Title: ADA / PDF Accessibility Specialist

We are seeking a skilled Accessibility Specialist to join our team. As the end-to-end owner of accessibility delivery for clients, you will be responsible for auditing, testing, remediation, document/pdfs accessibility, and compliance reporting.

  • Audit and Test: Conduct automated & manual audits for websites, portals, LMS, documents (Word, PowerPoint, PDFs), and multimedia content using industry-standard tools such as JAWS, NVDA, VoiceOver, TalkBack, Axe, WAVE, SiteImprove, and Adobe Acrobat Pro.
  • Remediate: Provide clear, prioritized fixes and hands-on remediation support for PDFs & Office documents (tagging, structure, alt text, headings, forms, reading order), Videos & multimedia (captioning, transcripts, audio descriptions), Third-party platforms & LMS content.
  • Guide Developers: Advise developers on accessible coding practices (ARIA, semantic HTML, CSS, JavaScript) to ensure compliance with WCAG 2.1/2.2, ADA Title II/III, Section 504/508, and emerging laws.
  • Prepare Reports: Prepare VPATs/ACRs and client-facing accessibility conformance documentation to demonstrate compliance with accessibility standards.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
  • Strong Knowledge: Strong knowledge of WCAG 2.1/2.2, ADA Title II/III, Section 504/508, and emerging accessibility laws.
  • Technical Skills: Proficiency in HTML5, ARIA, CSS3, JavaScript (React/Angular a plus), and experience with tools such as JAWS, NVDA, VoiceOver, TalkBack, Axe, WAVE, SiteImprove, and Adobe Acrobat Pro.
  • Documentation: Strong documentation/reporting skills to audit findings, VPAT/ACR reports, and other accessibility-related documents.
  • Experience: Experience supporting federal, state, or higher education contracts preferred.

  • DHS Section 508 Trusted Tester
