About this role: We are seeking a professional to oversee the daily operations of our solid-state battery cell production line.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Optimize efficiency and yield in the production line through process improvements and troubleshooting.
  • Monitor and address production issues related to electrode coating, cell assembly, and sealing processes.
  • Implement measures to enhance cell performance, lifespan, and overall production quality.
  • Analyze data from production lines to identify areas for optimization and cost reduction.
  • Establish and enforce strict quality control measures throughout the production process.
  • Ensure compliance with relevant industry standards and specifications for solid-state batteries.
  • Analyze quality data to identify and address potential issues before they impact product performance.
  • Lead a team of production technicians, operators, and engineers responsible for cell assembly.
  • Provide training and development opportunities to staff on new technologies and procedures related to solid-state battery production.
  • Foster a culture of safety and continuous improvement within the team.
  • Have a deep understanding of solid-state battery technology and familiarity with advanced manufacturing techniques.
  • Knowledge of electrochemical testing methods to evaluate cell performance and identify areas for improvement.
  • Collaborate with R&D teams to implement new cell designs and technology advancements into production lines.
  • Manage project timelines and budgets related to production scale-up and process optimization.
  • Coordinate with other departments to ensure smooth production flow.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Masters degree or PhD in Chemical Engineering, Materials Science, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
  • Extensive experience in lithium-ion battery manufacturing, with a strong focus on cell assembly processes.
  • Proven track record in managing production teams within a high-volume manufacturing environment.
  • Demonstrated ability to troubleshoot complex technical issues and implement solutions effectively.
  • Excellent analytical skills to interpret data and identify trends for continuous improvement.
  • Strong leadership and communication skills to manage a diverse team and collaborate with cross-functional departments.
