About the Role

This is a full-time position for an experienced Revenue Accountant / Recognition Specialist. The successful candidate will oversee and manage end-to-end revenue accounting processes, ensuring timely and accurate recognition in compliance with ASC 606 / IFRS 15.

  • Manage revenue accounting processes to guarantee accurate and timely recognition according to ASC 606 / IFRS 15.
  • Evaluate customer contracts and agreements to determine suitable revenue treatment, including multi-element arrangements and variable considerations.
  • Collaborate with Sales, Legal, and Financial Planning teams to assess deal structures and ensure alignment with revenue recognition policies.
  • Prepare and maintain revenue schedules, journal entries, and reconciliations for month-end and quarter-end close.
  • Analyze deferred revenue, billing schedules, and revenue forecasts to support financial reporting and audit readiness.
  • Partner with IT and finance systems teams to enhance automation and reporting capabilities related to revenue.
  • Support external audits and internal controls by providing documentation and insights into revenue processes.
Key Qualifications
  • 3+ years of experience in revenue accounting or revenue recognition, preferably in a software-as-a-service (SaaS), technology, or services environment.
  • CPA or CA qualification.
  • In-depth understanding of ASC 606 / IFRS 15 and practical application in complex contract scenarios.
  • Proficiency in ERP systems (e.g., NetSuite, SAP, Oracle) and revenue sub-ledgers or modules.
  • Advanced Excel skills (pivot tables, formulas, reconciliations); experience with business intelligence tools like Power BI or Tableau is a plus.
  • Attention to detail with strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to work cross-functionally with finance, legal, and sales teams.
