Resilience Assurance Lead

We are seeking a seasoned assurance professional to lead our controls testing efforts. Reporting to the Controls Testing Manager, this role will be responsible for supporting the development of a robust testing methodology for critical key controls across our global business.

This leadership position will focus on assurance activities over resiliency material and critical controls testing, with opportunities to expand into other operational risk domains.

The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and executing controls testing plans, communicating, agreeing upon, and monitoring gaps in controls in line with our risk management processes.

Additionally, they will support the Controls Testing Manager in the development of testing methodologies, the risk universe, and integrated reporting.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Planning and executing control tests, coordinating review processes with stakeholders, managing control testing analysts, reviewing work quality, and ensuring alignment with assurance testing methodology.
  • Presenting results to senior management to secure buy-in and agreement on actions.
  • Collaborating with Data Analytics teams to identify opportunities for converting manual testing into analytics-based testing and continuous assurance activities.
  • Supporting 1LOD with issue remediation and validation of evidence before issue closure.
  • Providing feedback to design and implementation teams on learnings identified during control testing.

Requirements for success include influencing skills and gravitas, commercial and pragmatic approaches to governance and change, experience in access management control testing, proven ability to identify key risks, and adept query-writing and presentation skills.

A global mindset, strong communication and presentation skills, broad knowledge of compliance regulations, and skilled stakeholder management are also essential.
