Job Summary:

Lead and manage the credit control function to ensure timely collection of outstanding receivables, minimize bad debts, and maintain healthy cash flow.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement credit policies, procedures, and credit limits.
  • Evaluate customer creditworthiness through financial analysis, credit scoring, and risk assessments.
  • Approve or recommend credit limits and payment terms.

Receivables Management:

  • Monitor the accounts receivable ledger to collect debts in a timely manner.
  • Review and reconcile customer accounts regularly.
  • Ensure accurate and timely allocation of receipts.

Collections:

  • Manage the collections team to follow up on outstanding invoices.
  • Resolve invoice disputes and escalate problematic cases.
  • Maintain regular contact with key customers to secure payments.

Reporting & Analysis:

  • Prepare weekly/monthly reports on receivables, aging, DSO, bad debt provisions, and collection efficiency.
  • Highlight high-risk accounts and overdue balances.

Stakeholder Collaboration:

  • Work closely with Sales, Legal, and Customer Service teams to resolve credit issues.
  • Liaise with external agencies when required.

Team Leadership:

  • Manage, train, and motivate the credit control team.
  • Set performance KPIs and review team performance.

Compliance:

  • Adhere to company credit policies and regulatory requirements.
  • Support internal and external audit processes.
