Geotechnical Engineer

We are seeking a highly motivated and skilled Geotechnical Engineer to join our team.

Job Description:

As a Geotechnical Engineer, you will play a critical role in supporting the team in geotechnical engineering activities, including coordination, planning, and execution of engineering projects.

  • Work closely with senior engineers and vendors to understand project requirements, analyze geotechnical data, and develop reports with recommendations, including soil profiles, site characterization, and foundation design.
  • Contribute to the design of foundations, retaining walls, slope stability solutions, and other geotechnical structures by formulating appropriate engineering approaches.
  • Support senior engineers in preparing geotechnical reports, recommendations, calculations, and drawings, as well as reviewing technical documents received from clients.
  • Perform basic geotechnical modeling and calculations under the supervision of senior engineers.
  • Assist in managing project design and deliverables, coordinate with the design team, and provide guidance to junior engineers and modelers.
  • Ensure quality assurance and quality control (QA/QC) by reviewing work progress and modifying work plans as needed.
  • Monitor and manage time allocation for project tasks to prevent delays and ensure timely completion.
  • Explore opportunities to automate repetitive tasks and contribute to computational design efforts to improve efficiency.
  • Provide support to senior engineers in project delivery and execution as required.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
  • Strong understanding of geotechnical engineering principles and practices.
  • Ability to analyze complex data and develop effective solutions.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
  • Proficiency in relevant software and tools, such as AutoCAD and Microsoft Office.
  • Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or related field.
