Senior Data Engineer

Delivering scalable and secure data solutions requires a unique blend of technical expertise, business acumen, and innovation. As a Senior Data Engineer, you will be responsible for architecting and building large-scale data systems that drive business growth and customer satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Design and implement petabyte-scale lakehouse architectures to unify data lakes and warehouses, ensuring seamless integration and high-performance analytics.
  • Develop and optimize streaming pipelines using Kafka, Pulsar, and Flink to process structured/unstructured data with low latency, enabling real-time insights and decision-making.
  • Leverage Java to build scalable, high-throughput data applications and services that meet the evolving needs of the business.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design and implement modern data infrastructure, leveraging cutting-edge technologies such as Trino, Spark, and Presto for sub-second operation and analytics on real-time data.
  • Work with RDBMS (PostgreSQL, MySQL, SQL Server) and NoSQL (Cassandra, MongoDB) systems to manage diverse data workloads, ensuring data integrity, security, and compliance across multi-tenant systems.
  • Develop and maintain Web APIs (REST/GraphQL) to expose data services internally and externally, driving digital transformation and innovation.
Qualifications:
  • 8+ years of experience in data engineering with large-scale systems (petabyte-level).
  • Expert proficiency in Java for data-intensive applications, with a strong focus on scalability, performance, and reliability.
  • Hands-on experience with lakehouse architectures, stream processing (Flink), and event streaming (Kafka/Pulsar), with a deep understanding of data pipelines and workflows.
  • Strong SQL skills and familiarity with RDBMS/NoSQL databases, with experience in optimizing query engines and data storage solutions.
  • Proven track record in delivering complex data projects, with a focus on collaboration, communication, and stakeholder management.
