Lead Architect: High-Performance Processor Systems

The role of Lead Architect involves designing and architecting interconnect topologies that meet bandwidth, latency, and RAS requirements for high-performance systems.

  • Design and architect different interconnect topologies driven by performance needs.
  • Develop micro-architecture, design RTL, collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver features.
  • Ensure pre-silicon designs meet functional, area, and timing goals.
  • Participate in silicon bring-up and validation of hardware.

We are seeking an experienced professional with a strong background in processor interconnect design leadership. Key responsibilities include:

  1. Led at least one generation of processor interconnect design delivery (e.g., UPI, AXI, AMBA, NoC).
  2. Expertise in SMP coherency and various on-chip interconnect topologies (e.g., mesh, crossbar).
  3. Understanding of snoop and data network protocols, latency & bandwidth requirements, and effective implementation means.
  4. Proficient in HDLs (VHDL / Verilog) and experience in high-speed and power-efficient logic design.
  5. Experience in working with verification, validation, physical design teams for design closure including test plan reviews and verification coverage.
  6. Strong understanding of physical design principles and ability to collaborate with physical design teams.
  7. Experience in leading uarch, RTL design teams for feature enhancements.
