Job Title: Database Developer

Key responsibilities include designing, developing and maintaining database objects, optimizing queries, and supporting cross-platform integration.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design, develop, and maintain SQL Server database objects (tables, views, stored procedures, functions, triggers).
  • Optimize T-SQL queries, indexes, and execution plans for high performance.
  • Support cross-platform integration with Oracle databases (PL/SQL).
  • Build and maintain ETL pipelines using SSIS and optimize resource utilization.
  • Implement and monitor database security, backup, recovery, and high availability.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve performance issues, blocking/deadlocks.
  • Collaborate with application developers to design normalized and scalable data structures.
  • Support database upgrades, migrations, and integrations between SQL Server and Oracle.
  • Document standards and best practices across SQL Server and Oracle environments.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • 6–7 years of total IT experience with 5–6 years in SQL Server database development.
  • Strong expertise in Microsoft SQL Server.
  • Hands-on T-SQL development.
  • Proven skills in performance tuning and indexing.
  • Working knowledge of Oracle PL/SQL.
  • Hands-on experience with SSIS or equivalent ETL tools.
  • Strong knowledge of backup/recovery strategies and high availability.
  • Experience with database version control and CI/CD deployment practices.
