Key Role: Data Governance Specialist

As a critical member of our team, you will play a vital role in ensuring the accuracy and quality of data pipelines across various platforms.

  • You will serve as a business and technical steward for assigned data domains, responsible for developing and maintaining metadata entries using advanced tools.
  • Collaborate with data owners to enforce data definitions, classifications, and data quality rules, while identifying and remediating issues in data assets.
  • Support the onboarding process of new data assets, cataloging lineage, and stewardship assignments, working closely with engineering teams.
  • Assist in governance tool configuration, workflow management, and integration automation, providing training and support to business users.

This role requires someone with 5+ years of experience in Data Governance, Operations of Data Governance. You should have hands-on experience with Collibra and other data management tools, including strong technical skills in SQL, Python/Java, and REST APIs.

Qualifications:
  • 5+ years of experience in Data Governance, Operations of Data Governance.
  • Hands-on experience with Collibra (catalog, lineage, workflows, API integrations).
  • Experience with data management tools (e.g., data catalogs, MDM systems, data quality platforms).
  • Strong understanding of data quality, metadata management, and data classification practices.
  • Technical skills in SQL, Python/Java, REST APIs for tool integration and automation.
  • Familiarity with Google cloud platform is a plus.
  • Excellent communication and ability to liaise between business users and technical teams.
