Job Description:

We are seeking a seasoned professional to lead our Higher Education initiatives. As Assistant Director, you will be responsible for spearheading thought leadership and policy advocacy work in the higher education sector.

  • Develop strategic partnerships with university leaders, multilateral organizations, and other key stakeholders to drive industry-academia engagement
  • Work closely with regulatory bodies, Ministry of Education, and state governments to identify key areas for policy development and advocacy

Key Accountabilities:

  • Thought Leadership/Paper Development: Collaborate with the Higher Education Committee leadership to identify key topics for research papers, reports, and articles
  • Committee Management: Conduct periodic committee meetings, develop agendas, and prepare minutes under the guidance of Committee leadership

Project Execution:

  • Task Force Creation: Identify and create small groups of experts to address specific sectoral issues
  • Research and Analysis: Work with Task Forces to develop papers, execute projects, and conduct surveys and research

Higher Education Summit (HES):

  • Organize and manage the annual global FICCI Higher Education Summit
  • Design conference programs, identify national and international partners, and manage masterclasses/workshops

Projects:

  • Identify and execute projects in industry-academia engagement, reconnect with NKFH partners, and initiate activities based on the NKFH framework
  • Organize capacity building programs for faculty and higher education leadership

Webinars/Workshops/Masterclasses/Delegations:

  • Ideate and execute masterclasses, workshops, webinars on relevant topics
  • Engage Committee leadership and senior government functionaries in select events

Reports/Recommendations:

  • Develop FICCI inputs/recommendations for government announcements and policy documents
  • Collaborate with the Knowledge Partner to provide information through secondary research for the annual FICCI Knowledge report

FICCI Eduwrap:

  • Publish a bi-monthly sectoral newsletter with an outreach to all stakeholders
  • Collate news items/articles and strive to generate revenue by identifying potential partners
