IT Infrastructure Director Role Summary

The IT Infrastructure Director will be responsible for overseeing the planning, implementation, and management of IT infrastructure systems, ensuring seamless integration with business operations. This key role requires strong leadership skills to lead cross-functional teams and drive strategic initiatives.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement comprehensive change management processes to facilitate smooth transitions and adoption of new technologies.
  • Lead high-performing IT Infra and InfoSec teams, fostering a culture of innovation and collaboration.
  • Ensure the reliability, availability, performance, security, and high uptime of all IT assets through proactive monitoring and issue resolution.
  • Design and implement maintenance schedules using tools like Microsoft System Center, minimizing downtime and optimizing resource utilization.
  • Set up and configure IT Infrastructure Monitoring Tools to identify and address potential issues before they impact critical business processes.
  • Provide regular reporting to the management team on the status of physical, virtual, and cloud systems, ensuring visibility into availability and compliance.
  • Implement and manage robust security measures, including firewalls, intrusion detection/prevention systems, VPNs, endpoint security, data loss prevention, IRM/EDRM, and web proxy solutions.
  • Conduct regular security assessments at server and network levels using tools like Nessus and Nmap to identify vulnerabilities and mitigate risks.
  • Ensure compliance with industry regulations and standards, maintaining certifications such as ISO 9001, ISO 27001, and PCI DSS.
  • Develop and implement disaster recovery and business continuity plans based on best practices and industry standards, utilizing solutions like Commvault, Borg, and Veeam.
  • Promote the adoption of emerging technologies and open-source tools to enhance business and IT operations.
Requirements:
  • At least 10-12 years of relevant experience in IT infrastructure management and information security.
  • Proven experience leading and managing complex hybrid IT teams, with a strong track record of success.
  • Experience transitioning workloads from on-premises to hybrid cloud ecosystems, driving digital transformation and innovation.
  • Proven expertise in implementing and managing IT security, business continuity plans, disaster recovery frameworks, and security audits.
  • Strong technical proficiency in Microsoft technologies (Windows Server, Azure Services, Microsoft 365, SharePoint) and open-source technologies (Ubuntu Linux, KVM, Docker, Kubernetes).
  • Experience managing datacenter operations, network systems, and virtualization environments, with a focus on optimization and efficiency.
  • Expertise in IT process optimization, change management, and project delivery, with a strong emphasis on results-driven outcomes.
  • Relevant industry certifications (CISSP, CISM, Azure Solutions Architect Expert, Red Hat Certified, Cisco Certified Network Professional) are highly desirable.
  • Experience working in large publication companies, management consulting firms, or Tier 1 startups is highly valued.
