Job Title: Quality Assurance Specialist

This role involves ensuring the quality of subtitles for various files, adhering to industry and client standards. The ideal candidate will maintain a high-quality output with less than 1% error rate, achieving an average quality yield of 99% throughout the year.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Verify language subtitles against Deluxe guidelines and client-specific requirements.
  • Ensure subtitles are checked against reference materials related to the project and implement necessary instructions for error-free delivery.
  • Maintain accurate work trackers and guarantee 100% on-time delivery for all clients.
  • Coordinate with PC teams and update Project Notes to implement changes or fixes in languages based on errors found.
  • Provide feedback to other users and departments when standard procedures are not followed, ensuring quality measures are implemented upstream.
  • Foster clear communication with both internal and external clients.
  • Take ownership of one's work and adhere to departmental schedules, guidelines, and attendance policies.
Additional Responsibilities:
  • Mentor and coach newer recruits to reach expected quality standards set by the department.
  • Promote teamwork and collaboration within the team.
  • Suggest improvements to the platform or subtitling workflows during your work.
  • Participate actively in job and personal knowledge training programs.
  • Demonstrate eagerness to learn other aspects of the process contributing to individual growth.
Requirements:
  • Exceptional audio sensitivity – ability to understand diverse English accents.
  • Strong comprehension and communication skills.
  • Broad cultural knowledge and wide range of interests.
  • Team player with attention to detail, able to multitask under tight deadlines.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, Outlook, Access, PowerPoint.
  • Good understanding of computers and the internet.
  • Excellent typing speed and accuracy.
  • Accountable, dependable, and methodical in work approach with an eye for detail.
  • Analytical thinking and problem-solving skills.
