PMS Coordinator Job Description

Are you looking for a career opportunity in shipping management? We have an exciting job opening for a PMS (Planning, Monitoring and Support) Coordinator.

About the Role:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced professional to join our team as a PMS Coordinator. As a PMS Coordinator, you will be responsible for analyzing various aspects of PMS and other modules, preparing documents, understanding client requirements, and testing functional aspects of modules developed by our team.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Analyze PMS data and prepare reports as required
  2. Understand client requirements and provide input to our team
  3. Test and validate functional aspects of modules developed by our team
  4. Contribute to training internal and external users on PMS and related modules
  5. Create software-related documents such as feature documents, help documents, FAQs, and workflow documents
  6. Assist with vessel visits and data collection processes

Ship Visit and Other Responsibilities:

  1. Attain vessels for implementation, issue fixing, and training purposes
  2. Assist with data collection and update of PMS data onboard
  3. Train shipboard personnel on the use of our system and other modules
  4. Provide support to vessels and remote offices for our system and related modules

Qualifications and Skills:

  • 3rd/ 4th engineer or equivalent with minimum 3 to 5 years of relevant experience
  • Shore experience in a shipping management company as a PMS coordinator/controller
  • Experience and deep understanding of enterprise computing needs of ship management companies
  • Strong organizational skills covering project management and cost analysis
  • Fluency in written and spoken English
  • Excellent typing and analyzing skills
  • Self-motivated, independent, and meticulous with an eye for detail
  • Team player with good interpersonal and communication skills
