Lead Model Development

This role requires an experienced professional to oversee the development and implementation of models for Variable Annuity products sold in the US. The candidate will be responsible for leading quarterly model changes, including Assumption Updates, New business setup, and improving model efficiency.

Key responsibilities include performing independent testing and impact quantification, detailed documentation, and communication with wider teams. Additionally, the candidate will review work done by junior members, maintain strong stakeholder/client relationships, and serve as the primary touchpoint for Testing, Valuation, and Risk Management teams.

Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in actuarial science/Math/Stats/Engineering/Computer or equivalent quantitative discipline.
  • Total 8-10 years of experience in US life insurance with minimum 4-6 years of life/Annuity actuarial modeling.
  • 8-10 actuarial papers - ideal requirement.

The ideal candidate will have excellent technical knowledge of US STAT/GAAP regulations, expertise in Actuarial modeling - Moody's AXIS, understanding of calculation of AXIS cashflows and reserves on a first principle basis, and good working knowledge of relevant actuarial concepts and methodologies.

Additional skills required include proficiency in coding and troubleshooting skills in GGY AXIS modelling software. The candidate should also have strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to effectively communicate complex ideas to non-technical stakeholders.
