Key Position:

The Quantitative Portfolio Strategist plays a pivotal role in supporting investment teams across various global strategies, encompassing macro, alternatives, specialized investments, and tax benefit solutions.

Responsibilities:

  • They analyze large datasets to produce custom portfolio analysis, factor attribution, and performance monitoring.
  • Utilize existing backtesters and reporting tools to facilitate business development and client requests.
  • Maintain and enhance reporting infrastructure and codebases, anticipating updates as strategies evolve.
  • Develop tools and dashboards in Python/SQL to improve efficiency, accuracy, and data delivery.

Collaboration & Support:

  • They collaborate with senior product specialists to create and refine client-facing materials, including pitchbooks, portfolio reviews, and RFP responses.
  • Translate complex quantitative insights into clear, client-relevant narratives.
  • Respond to client and investor queries with well-structured, data-backed analysis.
  • Partner across global research, trading, portfolio management, and business development teams.

Requirements:

  • Excellent academic credentials in a quantitative, technical, finance, or economics discipline.
  • 2+ years of relevant experience in investment management, asset management, consulting, or financial services.
  • Strong understanding of portfolio theory, risk/return concepts, and investment structures.
  • Proficiency in Python (pandas, NumPy, matplotlib/seaborn) and SQL; comfort with Excel and PowerPoint.
  • Demonstrated ability to analyze intricate datasets and produce insights tailored to audience and business objectives.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills; ability to simplify complex technical concepts.
  • Detail-oriented, organized, and able to manage multiple deadlines in a high-demand environment.
  • A problem solver with the confidence to work independently and collaborate across global teams.
