Role Overview:

As an Commis Chef, you will be responsible for creating and refining recipes for our meal kits, ensuring high standards of taste, quality, and quantity while focusing on zero waste principles. This role requires creativity, a passion for culinary arts, and a commitment to sustainability.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Recipe Creation: Develop and refine recipes that align with market trends and customer preferences.
  • Menu Development: Design informative menu cards and ensure a regular rotation of dishes to keep our offerings fresh and exciting.
  • Quality Control: Maintain high standards for ingredient quality, recipe shelf life, and food safety compliance.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with procurement, marketing, and operations teams to ensure smooth execution of menu plans.
  • Customer Feedback Integration: Regularly review customer feedback to refine and improve recipes and overall meal kit offerings.
  • Cost Management: Optimize recipe costs while maintaining high-quality standards to achieve a balance between affordability and premium dining experiences.
  • Training & Development: Train kitchen staff on new recipes, cooking techniques, and food safety protocols.


 Qualifications:

  • Education: Degree in Culinary Arts, Food Science, or related fields is a plus but not mandatory.
  • Experience: 2-3 years in recipe development, menu planning, or food operations. Meal kit experience is a bonus
  • Culinary Expertise: Deep knowledge and creativity across diverse cuisines.
  • Leadership Skills: Proven ability to lead and inspire a small team.
