Job Type: Full-Time 

Job Description:

We are looking for a detail-oriented and efficient Eligibility Verification Agent to join our dental billing team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for verifying dental insurance eligibility and coverage, ensuring accurate and timely verification for patients, and working closely with dental practices and insurance companies.


Key Responsibilities:


  • Verify dental insurance eligibility and coverage for patients by contacting insurance providers or using online portals.
  • Identify any coverage limitations, co-payments, or additional patient responsibilities.
  • Resolve discrepancies and follow up with insurance companies and dental practices as needed.
  • Ensure all eligibility information is up to date and available prior to patient appointments.
  • Collaborate with other team members to ensure seamless verification and billing processes.
  • Meet daily productivity and accuracy standards as set by the management team.


Key Requirements:


  • Experience:
  • Minimum of 2-3 years experience in dental insurance verification or similar role in a dental/medical office setting.
  • Familiarity with EHR/Practice Management software systems such as Dentrix, Eaglesoft, Open Dental
  • Experience with dental billing, coding, and understanding of insurance terminologies.
  • Skills:
  • Strong understanding of dental insurance, benefits, and verification processes.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, to interact effectively with dental offices and insurance providers.
  • High attention to detail with strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and work under tight deadlines.
  • Proficiency in using online insurance portals and EHR systems.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Preferred:
  • Experience with specific EHR systems used in dental practices such as Dentrix, Eaglesoft, Open Dental
  • Knowledge of HIPAA regulations and patient privacy requirements.
