This recruitment is conducted on behalf of our client - a global trading and supply chain management company specializing in the food industry. The company operates internationally, connecting suppliers and retailers across markets, ensuring efficient sourcing, high product quality, and competitive pricing. With its headquarters in Hong Kong and teams across Asia and Europe, our client supports leading retailers and distributors in bringing food products to market.


Role Overview

We are looking for a proactive Sourcing Manager with strong knowledge of the Indian food industry. This role requires close cooperation with global teams, suppliers, and business partners to identify, negotiate, and secure the best sourcing opportunities. The position is remote-based, with contracts signed directly with our Hong Kong entity.


Key Responsibilities

  • Manage and expand the supplier network within India’s food industry
  • Identify sourcing opportunities and assess supplier capabilities
  • Conduct negotiations on pricing, quality, and delivery terms
  • Analyze market trends and provide insights for business decisions
  • Collaborate with global teams to meet customer requirements
  • Ensure smooth communication and reporting while working remotely


Requirements

  • 3–5 years of experience in the food business, ideally in a sourcing position
  • Strong knowledge of the Indian food industry
  • Excellent command of English (spoken and written)
  • High level of initiative and problem-solving skills
  • Strong analytical and negotiation skills
  • Ability to work independently and stay organized in a remote environment
