Job Brief

We are seeking experienced Shopify Developers proficient in programming on the Shopify platform, with a strong focus on in-office collaboration in Bangalore. The ideal candidate will bring innovative perspectives, along with development experience and an understanding of Shopify’s framework, to create and optimise solutions.

The role involves bespoke development, adapting Shopify templates, and transforming mock-ups and specifications into fully functional solutions. Effective communication in both English and Hindi is essential for seamless collaboration with our teams and stakeholders.

Your Role: Shopify Developer

As our Shopify Developer, you will:

  • Develop and Manage Shopify Store: Build and maintain an engaging Shopify store, focusing on driving sales and revenue growth.
  • Custom Theme Development: Create custom themes and adapt pre-existing templates in line with company guidelines and brand standards.
  • Platform Expertise: Demonstrate expertise in all facets of the Shopify eCommerce platform, including theme customisation and app integrations.
  • UI/UX Collaboration: Partner with UI and UX design teams to craft innovative and robust user experiences.
  • Integration with Apps and APIs: Ensure seamless integration with Shopify Apps, marketing tools, and Platform APIs.
  • Testing and Debugging: Regularly test and debug websites to maintain high performance and user experience.
  • Technical Support: Provide technical support to safeguard against operational issues and maintain optimal site functionality.
  • Performance Optimisation: Optimise the site to increase conversion rates, enhance user experience, and drive overall performance improvements.

Skills & Experience

  • Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • Experience: Proven experience in Shopify store maintenance, launch, and development, with a deep understanding of the Shopify admin system.
  • Technical Skills:
  • Proficient in JavaScript, DOM manipulation, CSS3, and HTML5.
  • Experience with Shopify’s Storefront API, custom themes, and Liquid templating.
  • Skilled in debugging and implementing third-party Shopify applications, with the ability to create custom solutions when required.
  • Knowledge of jQuery, JavaScript frameworks, vanilla JavaScript, and ES6.
  • Familiarity with Shopify properties/objects, meta fields, and AJAX API.
  • Competent with third-party APIs and services, as well as Shopify plugins.
  • Experience in designing responsive layouts for various devices, including mobile, tablet, and desktop.

Additional Requirements

  • Location: This position requires you to work from our Bangalore office.
  • Language Skills: Proficiency in both English and Hindi is required for effective communication.
