Database AdministratorAs a Database Administrator, you will be responsible for managing and optimizing data infrastructure. Your goal is to ensure high performance, scalability, availability, and security of the Organisation's data ecosystem.Key Responsibilities:Design and maintain databases (OLTP & OLAP) for scalability and high availability.Manage and optimize ClickHouse and StarRocks clusters for analytics and reporting workloads.Oversee relational databases like PostgreSQL, MySQL, MongoDB.Monitor performance, troubleshoot bottlenecks, and implement tuning strategies.Implement backup, recovery, and disaster recovery plans.Ensure data security, compliance, and access controls.Collaborate with engineering teams to design efficient data models.Requirements:3-6 years of experience as a Database Administrator or Data Engineer.Strong hands-on expertise with ClickHouse and/or StarRocks.Experience with PostgreSQL, MySQL, or MongoDB.Proficiency in database tuning, indexing, partitioning, and query optimization.Experience with replication, sharding, and clustering in high-volume systems.Solid understanding of Linux system administration related to databases.Knowledge of scripting (Python, Bash, SQL) for automation.Hands-on with cloud database services (AWS RDS, GCP, or Azure).This role requires excellent problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and strong communication skills. You must be able to work effectively in a team environment and adapt quickly to new technologies and methodologies.
