Remote IT Infrastructure Specialist

Job Title: IT Infrastructure SpecialistJob Description:We are seeking a skilled IT infrastructure specialist to support our global operations, manage enterprise systems, and oversee network environments for international clients. This is a fully remote, long-term freelance role suitable for experienced engineers who excel in server management, network administration, and cloud infrastructure.Manage and maintain servers across development, testing, and production environments.Monitor system performance to ensure high availability of critical applications and infrastructure.Troubleshoot system issues, analyze root causes, and resolve incidents promptly.Configure and maintain virtual machines, cloud instances, and on-premises infrastructure.Implement user management, permissions, and security policies across systems.Apply patches, updates, and upgrades for OS, applications, and security components.Provide network troubleshooting, firewall rule setup, VPN access, and connectivity assistance.Collaborate with DevOps, Cloud, and Security teams to support deployments and operational workflows.Required Skills and Qualifications:To be successful in this role, you will need:A minimum of 2 years of hands-on experience as an IT infrastructure specialist or equivalent role.Strong knowledge of either Linux (Ubuntu, CentOS, RHEL) or Windows Server administration.Experience with user management, permissions, and system security best practices.Ability to troubleshoot hardware, OS, and network issues.Familiarity with virtualization technologies (VMware, Hyper-V, KVM).Understanding of backup, recovery, and storage systems.Ability to work independently in a remote environment.Benefits:This opportunity offers:The chance to work on global infrastructure and IT support initiatives.Multiple openings with rapid onboarding.Fully remote work with flexible working hours.Long-term freelance engagement with consistent workload.Exposure to modern cloud and hybrid IT environments.
