About the Position We are seeking a seasoned investment professional to lead our strategic investment initiatives, driving growth and performance across our portfolios. The ideal candidate will possess deep market insight, exceptional leadership skills, and a proven track record of delivering results in complex investment environments. This is a senior leadership role with significant autonomy, requiring strong decision-making skills and the ability to drive strategy execution. Key Responsibilities Investment Strategy & Leadership Develop and implement comprehensive investment strategies aligned with client objectives and firm value propositions. Lead cross-functional teams in portfolio construction, risk management, and performance optimization. Collaborate with internal stakeholders to ensure alignment with overall business goals and objectives. Portfolio Management Directly manage high-performing portfolios with assets under management exceeding 3,000 Cr. Oversee asset selection, position sizing, entry/exit timing, and liquidity management to achieve optimal returns. Monitor macro & micro risks; implement hedging or tactical asset allocation as needed. Research Oversight Institutionalize rigorous fundamental research across sectors, themes, and capital cycles. Lead and mentor high-performing investment teams, including sector analysts and portfolio managers. Promote original thinking, deep diligence, and thesis-driven investing practices. Team Building & People Leadership Attract, develop, and retain top investment talent through effective recruitment, training, and development programs. Foster a culture of intellectual integrity, curiosity, and performance ownership among team members. Build succession and scaling capabilities for future growth and expansion. Stakeholder Alignment Collaborate with senior leaders on strategic initiatives, including product pipeline development, client engagement, and investor education. Participate in key client and partner meetings as required. Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and internal governance frameworks. Ideal Candidate Profile 18+ years of experience in public markets investing, preferably leading large-scale portfolios. Proven ability to deliver performance in complex investment environments. Deep sectoral and macro understanding; strong investment judgment. Strong leadership and team-building skills, with a track record of attracting and retaining top talent. Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills. Integrity, long-term orientation, and alignment with firm values.
