Assistant General Manager / General manager – IT


Roles & Responsibilities

  • Lead the IT team and provide strategic guidance for all IT-related initiatives
  • Design and implement scalable systems and processes to support the company's growth trajectory
  • Oversee IT procurement and vendor management to ensure cost-effective and reliable technology solutions
  • Drive digitisation efforts across the organisation, streamlining manual processes, and introducing innovative IT tools and be hands on with hard ware.
  • Implement and scale ERP systems to support the company's operations and growth
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and execute IT innovation opportunities.
  • Ensure data security and compliance with industry standards and regulations
  • Evaluate and recommend technology investments to support the company's long-term growth goals
  • Develop and mentor IT team members to enhance their technical skills and capabilities
  • Engage with senior management to align IT strategies with business objectives



Qualifications Required 

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field. Master's degree or MBA is a plus 
  • Immediate joining or buy back of notice period is a must.
  • Should have minimum 15 years of relevant work experience 
  • Proven experience in a systems engineering or IT leadership role, preferably with a general contracting construction company or a similar industry
  • Strong understanding of construction industry processes and IT requirements.
  • Experience in managing large-scale IT projects and navigating complex technology landscapes
  • Demonstrated ability to lead and mentor an IT team, driving collaboration and innovation 
  • Hands on Hardware experience with experience in dealing with tech hardware vendors efficiently. 
  • Proficiency in evaluating and implementing IT solutions, including enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems, project management tools, and cloud-based technologies
  • Excellent communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills
