Key Role in SolarWinds AutomationOur organization is seeking a highly skilled professional to lead the automation of various functions within our SolarWinds platform. The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of the SolarWinds Orion suite, with expertise in maintenance and troubleshooting of the platform as well as PowerShell Development.Core Responsibilities:Administer and maintain the SolarWinds Orion platform, including NPM, NCM, SAM, VNQM, and other modules.Develop and maintain PowerShell scripts for automating SolarWinds tasks such as:Node onboarding/offboardingAlert suppression or muting during maintenance windowsCustom alert/report generation and distribution via SolarWinds–ServiceNow integration enhancementsImplement custom monitoring logic, automated diagnostics, and integrations via Orion API, SWIS, and REST endpoints.Collaborate with stakeholders to understand automation needs and deliver solutions that support observability workflows.Build tools and utilities to support monitoring self-service, reporting automation, and configuration validation.Manage custom Pollers, SNMP configurations, and agentless/agent-based monitoring across multi-vendor environments.Design and optimize SWQL and SQL queries to support reports and custom dashboards for tailored views.Configure and maintain alert logic, escalation policies, and notification integrations (e.g., with ServiceNow, email, Teams).Participate in incident triage and root cause analysis, leveraging SolarWinds logs and metrics.Maintain security posture of the application, including RBAC, SNMPv3, and audit logging.Contribute to and maintain Kanban board tasks and documentation related to SolarWinds projects and issues.Requirements:Strong background in SolarWinds Automation Engineer with experience in NPM, NCM, SAM, VNQM, and other modules.Expertise in PowerShell Development and scripting for automating SolarWinds tasks.Familiarity with Orion API, SWIS, and REST endpoints for custom monitoring logic and integrations.Excellent collaboration and communication skills to work with stakeholders and teams.Ability to design and optimize SWQL and SQL queries for reports and custom dashboards.Benefits:Opportunity to work with a cutting-edge technology like SolarWinds Orion suite.Chance to collaborate with a talented team of professionals in the field of automation engineering.Professional growth and development opportunities in a dynamic and fast-paced environment.Additional Information:Our organization values innovation, creativity, and teamwork.
