Role Description: The Manager – Business Development (Carbon PortfolioManagement) plays a crucial role in driving the company's growth in thecarbon markets by identifying new business opportunities, developing clientrelationships, and managing carbon credit transactions. This position requiresa strong understanding of carbon markets, regulatory frameworks, andsustainability trends to help clients achieve their carbon reduction goalswhile maximizing revenue for the company. Roles & Responsibilities:Actively research andidentify potential business opportunities in the carbon market, including newclients, partnerships, and emerging projects.Stay updated on trends incarbon markets, regulatory changes, and innovations in carbon credits, offsets,and sustainability initiatives to capitalize on potential growth areas.Build and nurture strong,long -term relationships with key clients, stakeholders, and regulatoryauthorities.Serve as the primarypoint of contact for clients, ensuring their needs are met by deliveringtailored carbon solutions that align with their sustainability goals.Manage communications andengagements with high -level stakeholders in the carbon and environmentalsectors, including government bodies, private entities, and internationalorganizations.Lead efforts to structureand execute carbon credit transactions, collaborating closely with tradingplatforms, clients, and internal teams.Develop pricingstrategies for carbon credits and assist in negotiating contracts to maximizerevenue and meet client needs.Stay informed of market fluctuationsand regulatory changes that could affect carbon pricing and tradingopportunities.Conduct comprehensivemarket research to understand competitor activities, new developments in carbonoffset protocols, and advancements in emission reduction technologies.Analyze potential marketentry strategies and recommend plans for developing new business areas,including voluntary and compliance markets.Work closely with projectmanagers, technical teams, and external partners to ensure carbon projects areexecuted efficiently, from inception to completion.Ensure timely delivery ofall deliverables while managing client expectations and addressing anyproject -related issues as they arise.Maintain oversight onproject milestones and financial targets, ensuring alignment with companygoals.Monitor the progress ofbusiness development initiatives and prepare regular reports for seniormanagement, detailing pipeline status, revenue forecasts, and key metrics.Use CRM systems to logand track interactions with clients, leads, and partners, ensuring transparencyin all BD activities.Evaluate the success ofcarbon projects and sales initiatives, offering insights for future businessdevelopment strategies.Attend relevant industryconferences, seminars, and networking events to represent the company and builda strong network within the carbon market.Collaborate with internalteams (finance, legal, technical) to provide clients with comprehensivesolutions, addressing technical and financial aspects of carbon trading.Actively seekopportunities to partner with other firms, governments, or NGOs oncollaborative projects that enhance the company's visibility in the carbonspace. Requirements Skills & Qualifications:Proven track record inbusiness development, client acquisition, and revenue generation.Prior experience managingcarbon projects, carbon credit transactions, or sustainability initiatives.Experience working withinternational carbon markets, multinational clients, or climate financeprojects.Experience in engagingwith stakeholders from regulatory bodies, private entities, and environmentalorganizations.
