GM - Defense Sales (Delhi) (Ex Armed Forces)

We are looking for a candidate with a dynamic personality and strong business acumen to manage liaising with Ministry of Defence and other Defence agencies both in Government and private sectors . Knowledge of the Indian Defence market is required.
The position calls for working closely with the Indian defence organizations, PSU’s and Private organizations in the defence sector, reporting directly to the VP Sales. We are looking at Individual performers to scale up the business in the Defence sector Additionally, this role will require the person to study the various business opportunities and convert them into orders. Should take the end to end responsibility from conceptual stage to project completion. It also includes working closely with customers to identify new product opportunities to expand various product lines in line with market trends.
Should have an understanding of the Government of India’s procurement, Make In India and Atam Nirbhar plans within the Defence segment. Should have the ability to locate and identify projects/products/services required by the customers which the organisation can take up to end results.
Qualification: Graduate in Engineering preferably with a major in Electronics (Armed Forces background will be preferred)
Experience: Minimum 12 to 15 years working in a managerial position marketing Defence / Aviation related products for Defence applications.
Competencies Required:
- Aptitude for Business Development with Excellent Communication skills.
- Monitoring and analysing market trends by studying competitors' products and services.
- Identifying target markets and developing product/marketing strategies.
- Preparing and managing marketing plans and budgets.
- Procurement procedures, DPP and managing the production of promotional material.
- Liaising with other internal departments such as production and distribution to produce reports for monitoring results.
- Presenting findings and suggestions to Company directors / Senior management.
- Travelling to trade shows, Conferences and Sales meetings.
- Close new business deals by coordinating requirements; developing and negotiating contracts; and integrating contract requirements with business operations.

- Ordnance Factories
- Procurement rules and regulations.
