Job Summary:The Manager - Construction Accounting plays a pivotal role in overseeing and managing the financial accounting functions within an organization. This position requires in-depth knowledge of construction accounting principles, financial management, and compliance.This individual will be responsible for ensuring accurate financial reporting, maintaining fiscal discipline, and supporting the overall success of construction projects.Key Responsibilities:Oversight of day-to-day accounting activities, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger entries.Preparation and analysis of monthly and quarterly financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements.Ensuring timely and accurate disbursement of funds for construction activities through effective coordination and facilitation of the construction draw process.Management of yearly audit and tax compliance processes, ensuring all information is complete, accurate, and available for tax preparers and auditors.Establishment and maintenance of internal controls to safeguard company assets.Providing management with vital information for decision-making purposes.Overseeing the use of Yardi, the organization's Property and Accounting software.Requirements:This position requires a highly organized individual with strong attention to detail and quality of deliverables.Excellent writing, communication, and interpersonal skills are essential, along with a high level of computer proficiency, including extensive experience with Yardi or similar real estate accounting systems.
