As a key member of the kitchen staff, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of food production, maintaining high quality standards, and supervising a team of cooks.Key Responsibilities:Direct and supervise a team of cooks to ensure efficient and effective food production.Maintain high quality standards in all aspects of food preparation and presentation.Ensure that all recipes are followed accurately and consistently.Control production levels and recommend improvements to optimize efficiency and reduce costs.Oversee the preparation and presentation of all menu items.Monitor and maintain stock levels to prevent waste and minimize excess inventory.Implement health and safety protocols to prevent accidents and maintain a clean and safe working environment.Work closely with other departments to ensure seamless service delivery.Qualifications and Skills:A minimum of 8 years of experience as a chef in an upscale hotel or resort.Culinary school degree required.Strong leadership and management skills.Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.Ability to work well under pressure and meet deadlines.Intermediate computer software skills required.Good understanding of basic accounting principles.Ability to write reports and business correspondence.
