About The Team

About The Work

You will be working in the Staffology Payroll teams, playing a critical role in building IRIS’ next generation of cloud-based, customer-focused payroll software. You will be helping to set the code standards and patterns that will be used across our new application suite, working with embedded UX, QA and DevOps experts to build re-usable services and components.


What We Need From You

We want Agile advocates that will help drive a collaborative culture. Someone to lead the technical delivery within an agile team.

  • Technical leadership inc. high-level software design, scalability, security and performance
  • People leadership; communicating, mentoring and coaching other engineers
  • 8+ years experience as a software engineer using Microsoft technologies including .NET Core and ASP.Net MVC and JavaScript
  • Strong experience working with REST based APIs
  • In-depth knowledge of databases including MS SQL and Cosmos Db
  • Proactively monitor and take ownership of team quality
  • Experience with TDD and BDD
  • Experience establishing and ensuring high coding standards
  • Experience with serverless architecture including Azure functions
  • Experience working in an Agile software development environment
  • Solid object orientated programming knowledge and knowledge of software architectural patterns (MVC, MVVM)
  • Good understanding of SOLID development principles
  • Good understanding of DevOps practices
  • Good understanding of cloud-based architecture
  • Track record of successful software delivery
  • Lead by example
