About the Role
As an Area Sales Manager (ASM), you will be responsible for managing sales operations and driving revenue growth in your designated territory. This role involves building strong relationships with healthcare professionals, achieving sales targets, and collaborating with the Regional Sales Manager (RSM) to ensure business success. The ASM will also oversee and mentor a team of Sales Representatives, fostering a high-performing and customer-focused culture.
Responsibilities
Sales Execution:
- Implement sales strategies to achieve and exceed assigned territory targets.
- Identify and develop new business opportunities within the assigned area.
Team Management:
- Supervise and guide a team of Sales Representatives, ensuring their alignment with company goals.
- Conduct regular training and performance reviews to enhance team productivity.
Customer Relationship Management:
- Build and maintain strong relationships with key healthcare professionals, including cardiologists, radiologists, and hospital staff.
- Address customer inquiries and provide timely solutions to enhance customer satisfaction.
Market Analysis:
- Monitor market trends, competitors, and customer needs within the territory.
- Provide feedback to the RSM and marketing team to refine sales strategies.
Collaboration and Compliance:
- Work closely with the Regional Sales Manager and marketing team on campaigns, product launches, and educational initiatives.
- Ensure adherence to regulatory requirements and ethical standards in all sales activities.
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Healthcare, or a related field. 8+ years of sales experience in the medical device or healthcare industry, with a focus on interventional cardiology or radiology products. Proven ability to meet and exceed sales targets. Strong understanding of the healthcare landscape and a network of contacts within the industry. Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills. Experience managing and mentoring sales teams is a plus. Willingness to travel extensively within the assigned territory.
