ACL Digital is actively hiring for experienced Senior L2/L3 Protocols Developer - QoS to join our dynamic team in Bengaluru.


Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced L2/L3 Networking Protocols Developer with a strong focus on Quality of Service (QoS) to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of networking protocols, a solid foundation in C/C++ programming, and a passion for delivering high-performance, reliable, and scalable networking solutions.

Responsibilities:

  • Design, develop, and maintain high-performance L2/L3 networking protocols, including but not limited to:
  • Ethernet, VLAN, STP, LACP, LLDP
  • IP, ARP, ICMP, IGMP, MLD
  • OSPF, BGP, IS-IS
  • MPLS, RSVP, LDP
  • Develop and optimize QoS features, including:
  • Classification, marking, and policing
  • Queue scheduling algorithms (WFQ, PQ, SP, etc.)
  • Congestion control mechanisms
  • Analyze and troubleshoot complex networking issues, working closely with cross-functional teams to identify and resolve problems.
  • Collaborate with system architects, software engineers, and test engineers to deliver high-quality solutions.
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest networking technologies and industry trends.
  • Contribute to the development of new features and enhancements to our networking products.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
  • 6+ years of experience in L2/L3 networking protocol development.
  • Strong proficiency in C/C++ programming.
  • In-depth knowledge of networking protocols and concepts.
  • Experience with QoS mechanisms and algorithms.
  • Excellent problem-solving and debugging skills.
  • Strong understanding of networking hardware and software architectures.
  • Experience with network simulation tools (e.g., IXIA, Spirent).
  • Familiarity with Linux and scripting languages (e.g., Python, Perl).
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with network processor architectures and SDKs.
  • Knowledge of network function virtualization (NFV) and software-defined networking (SDN).
  • Experience with network security protocols (e.g., IPsec, SSL).
  • Contributions to open-source networking projects.
