Location: Bangalore,Karnataka, India

Experience: 5-12 years

About the Role:

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Network Protocol Engineer to join our team and contribute to the development of cutting-edge network protocols. You will play a pivotal role in designing, implementing, and optimizing network protocols, ensuring seamless and efficient data transmission across various network environments.

Responsibilities:

- Design, develop, and implement L2 and L3 network protocols, with a strong focus on data path optimization.
- Conduct in-depth analysis and troubleshooting of network protocol issues to identify root causes and implement effective solutions.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure smooth integration of network protocols into complex network systems.
- Stay updated on the latest advancements in network protocol technologies and industry best practices.
- Mentor and guide junior engineers in protocol development and troubleshooting techniques.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

- Bachelor‘s degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
- 6-8 years of hands-on experience in network protocol development, with a strong emphasis on L2 and L3 protocols.
- Deep understanding of network fundamentals, including TCP/IP, Ethernet, and routing protocols.
- Proficiency in programming languages such as C Programming(oops, exception,Multithreading)
- Experience with network protocol testing and validation tools.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
- A passion for network technology and a drive for innovation.

Preferred Skills:

- Experience with QoS (Quality of Service) mechanisms and technologies.
- Knowledge of network virtualization and SDN (Software-Defined Networking) concepts.
- Contributions to open-source network protocol projects.
