Title: Senior Network Protocol Engineer

Location: Bangalore,Karnataka, India

Experience: 6-8 years

About the Role:

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Network Protocol Engineer to join our team and contribute to the development of cutting-edge network protocols. You will play a pivotal role in designing, implementing, and optimizing network protocols, ensuring seamless and efficient data transmission across various network environments.

Responsibilities:

  • Design, develop, and implement L2 and L3 network protocols, with a strong focus on data path optimization.
  • Conduct in-depth analysis and troubleshooting of network protocol issues to identify root causes and implement effective solutions.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure smooth integration of network protocols into complex network systems.
  • Stay updated on the latest advancements in network protocol technologies and industry best practices.
  • Mentor and guide junior engineers in protocol development and troubleshooting techniques.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
  • 6-8 years of hands-on experience in network protocol development, with a strong emphasis on L2 and L3 protocols.
  • Deep understanding of network fundamentals, including TCP/IP, Ethernet, and routing protocols.
  • Proficiency in programming languages such as C Programming(oops, exception,Multithreading)
  • Experience with network protocol testing and validation tools.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
  • A passion for network technology and a drive for innovation.

Preferred Skills:

  • Experience with QoS (Quality of Service) mechanisms and technologies.
  • Knowledge of network virtualization and SDN (Software-Defined Networking) concepts.
  • Contributions to open-source network protocol projects.
