JOB TITLE
Manager- Data and AI.
ROLE DESCRIPTION
As the Head of Data and AI at Sun Mobility, you will be responsible for performing highly advanced data analysis and architecture work, providing managerial direction and guidance in strategic operations and planning and building offerings, platforms, solutions, and capabilities - to create differentiating position for Sun Mobility in the market using Artificial Intelligence. Your role will involve designing, developing, and implementing innovative AI solutions tailored to meet the unique needs of our clients.
The position engages with multiple cross functional groups to understand challenges, prototype innovative ideas and new technologies, helps create solutions to drive the next wave of innovation, and manages a portfolio of delivery projects.
Work involves developing policies, standards, designs, and action plans for enterprise-wide data governance, data system integrity and integration, and the use of data for business intelligence, data analytics, strategic planning, and program assessment. Plans, assigns, and/or supervises the work of others.
Works under minimal supervision, with extensive latitude for the use of initiative and independent judgment.
ROLES and RESPONSIBILITIES
Provides effective direction and leadership to staff (consisting a team of Data Engineers, Data Analysts, DBAs, AI/ML Engineers) within areas of oversight and holds them accountable for achieving performance expectations, stated program goals, and legislative mandates. Reviews legislation, audit findings and regulations pertinent to Information Technology Analytics. Oversees functions related to the management of data services.
Evaluates techniques and approaches, identifies emerging trends to determine and implement appropriate strategies. Reports findings and recommendations for improvements to the CSTO. Provides guidance on data design and acquisition strategies for the development and implementation of data analytics, master data management, data warehouse, and data mart solutions.
Drives data standards, data security, utilization and prioritization guidance and oversight. Acts as the point of escalation and serves as an expert on Data as well as assisting in the identification, analysis and resolution of data driven problems.
Develops data governance related practices, implements, and enforces data-related policies, controls, and standards. Analyses database implementation methods to ensure compliance with policies.
Provides technical oversight for all activities related to data and its use for business intelligence, data analytics, and program assessment.
Reviews and approves technical recommendations, data architecture designs, data models, data acquisition strategies, proposed solutions, and deliverables from vendors.
Ensures the alignment of data designs with business requirements as both the data designs and business requirements change over time.
Manages a portfolio of delivery projects.
Coordinates with all areas of the system, Analytics and Decision Support, performance measurement and reporting need to ensure technology and tool recommendations meet business needs.
REQUIREMENTS/QUALIFICATIONS
Master data, metadata, reference data, data warehousing, database structure, and business intelligence principles and processes, including technical architecture.
Enterprise information management processes and methodologies.
Artificial intelligence, machine learning and Generative AI (GenAI) tools like ChatGPT, Gemini, GitHub Copilot, Claude.
Operational support requirements of networks, operating systems, Internet technologies, databases, and security applications.
Local, state, and federal laws and regulations relevant to data management and data governance.
Industry standard technologies and tools, including database management systems, master data and metadata management tools, data acquisition strategies, cloud storage, and associated security considerations for all data classifications.
Hardware and software technology infrastructure, configuration, networking and telecommunications requirements for data and analytics systems.
Data mining and segmentation techniques.
ETL technologies for data extraction, manipulation, cleansing, and synthesis.
Data visualization tools and data modelling tools.
SQL, Databases and Python.
Enterprise level database design, including data security and access auditing considerations, and full data lifecycle management (gathering, cleansing, publishing, archiving, back-up and recovery, and purging) for large enterprise systems.
