Job DescriptionWe are seeking a seasoned Accounting Manager to oversee our company's financial accounting functions. This individual will be responsible for managing the production of periodic financial reports, maintaining an adequate system of accounting records, and ensuring that reported results comply with generally accepted accounting principles.The Accounting Manager will play a vital role in ensuring accurate financial reporting, maintaining fiscal discipline, and supporting the overall success of our construction projects. This includes overseeing day-to-day accounting activities, such as accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger entries, as well as preparing and analyzing monthly and quarterly financial statements.ResponsibilitiesEnsure the timely and accurate recording of financial transactions.Prepare and analyze monthly and quarterly financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements.Oversee the construction draw process, ensuring timely and accurate disbursement of funds for construction activities.Manage the yearly audit and tax compliance process, including ensuring all information is complete, accurate, and available for the tax preparers and auditors.Establish and maintain internal controls to safeguard company assets.Ensure control over actual expenses vs budget and participate in cash management and forecasting.Provide management with information vital to the decision-making process.Oversee the use of Yardi, the company's Property and Accounting software.Should have knowledge of preparing project profitability report and percentage of completion method of accounting.Ensure compliance with relevant accounting standards, regulations, and company policies.RequirementsCA/CPA with 8-10 years of experience in the real estate/construction industry.Highly organized with strong attention to detail and quality of deliverables.Excellent writing, communication, and interpersonal skills.Must have excellent work ethic, high integrity, and excellent follow-up skills.Ability to demonstrate critical thinking skills in decision making.Excellent analytical and quantitative skills.Demonstrated leadership and management skills.Superior ability to track and meet deadlines, focused on overcoming obstacles.High level of computer skills, including extensive experience with Yardi or similar real estate accounting systems.
