With a rich history of over 90 years, The Madras Seva Sadan is a prestigious institution in Chennai, dedicated to the holistic development of individuals aimed at producing self-supporting and self-reliant members of society. Its comprehensive approach includes a strong emphasis on education, sports and social welfare. The organization has grown to encompass 12 units and employs more than 600 people.

Today, The Madras Seva Sadan comprises various prominent units such as the Lady Andal IB School, Sir Mutha CBSE School, Sir Mutha Venkatasubba Rao Concert Hall and The Madras Seva Sadan Higher Secondary School, to name a few units.

Who are we looking for?

We are looking for a dynamic and results-driven professional with 7 to 10 years of experience in HNI & Individual Giving fundraising for Vajra – TMSS's multidisciplinary sports complex. The role involves identifying, cultivating, and stewarding relationships with high-value donors, alumni, and influential networks to mobilise substantial funding support. The ideal candidate should have experience in business development and fundraising, with a proven track record in developing and implementing CSR strategies, while being a strategic thinker with excellent relationship-building skills and a passion for making an impact.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and execute a robust fundraising plan to secure large-ticket donations (₹20 lakhs to ₹1 crore+) from HNIs, alumni, and philanthropists. Proven fundraising experience in the area of large-scale construction projects (Education, Sports, Health).
  • Create an extensive database of HNI / potential donors using wealth intelligence tools and personal network.
  • Create and track a target-based fundraising goal, and report the same through donor tracking, engagement and donation metrics to the TMSS management at regular intervals.
  • Ability to create and communicate powerful pitches, proposals to the management/ HNIs/ CSR Heads and drive closures successfully.
  • Collaborate with the Communications team to create high-impact presentations, events, and experiences for prospects.
  • Work closely with TMSS trustees, leadership and the Vajra project team to deliver the fundraising goals.
  • Represent TMSS at relevant networking events, donor meetings, and sector gatherings.

Skills & Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's/Master's degree in business, social sciences, or related fields.
  • A minimum of 5-7 years of experience working with HNIs/UHNI/CSR in Tamil Nadu, Karnataka.
  • Proven track record of securing high-value donations from HNI/UHNI/Foundations/Grants.
  • Exceptional networking, relationship-building, and persuasion skills.
  • Strong written and verbal communicator (Bilingual - Tamil /English).
  • Should be an individual contributor and should be comfortable leading pitches and closures to senior management. 
  • Should have the ability to work in a very dynamic, target and outcome-based environment and should be able to adapt.
  • Should possess good knowledge of current trends in CSR, philanthropy, and HNI donor behaviours.
