Job Summary
We are seeking a Microsoft Dynamics GP Techno-Functional Consultant to join our team and provide expertise in the implementation, configuration, and customization of the Microsoft Dynamics GP system. The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of both the functional and technical aspects of Dynamics GP, enabling them to effectively translate business requirements into effective system solutions. This role involves collaborating closely with business stakeholders, project teams, and IT to ensure the smooth delivery and ongoing support of Dynamics GP solutions.
Key Responsibilities
Dynamics GP Implementation & Configuration: Lead and participate in the implementation of Microsoft Dynamics GP systems, including requirement gathering, configuration, testing, and deployment.
Customization & Development: Customize Dynamics GP using Dexterity, VBA, and other relevant tools. Write custom scripts, stored procedures, and integrations to enhance GP functionality.
System Integration: Manage integrations between Dynamics GP and other internal or third-party applications, leveraging tools like eConnect, Integration Manager, and Web Services.
Business Analysis: Work with stakeholders to identify business requirements and translate them into functional specifications and actionable solutions within Dynamics GP.
Troubleshooting & Support: Diagnose and resolve functional and technical issues, working with end-users to provide guidance and solutions.
Training & Documentation: Conduct training sessions for end-users, create and maintain system documentation, and develop user guides.
Reporting & Analytics: Develop custom reports using SQL Server Reporting Services (SSRS), Management Reporter, and other reporting tools available in Dynamics GP.
System Upgrades & Enhancements: Participate in Dynamics GP upgrade projects, ensuring customizations and integrations are compatible with new versions.
Compliance & Best Practices: Ensure system adherence to best practices, compliance standards, and data security protocols.
Qualifications
Experience: 3+ years of experience as a Dynamics GP Techno-Functional Consultant, including hands-on experience with GP implementation, customization, and support.
Education: Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field.
Technical Skills: Proficiency in Dexterity, SQL Server, VBA, eConnect, Web Services, and Integration Manager.
Functional Knowledge: Strong understanding of financial modules (GL, AP, AR, FA), distribution modules, and inventory management within Dynamics GP.
Analytical Skills: Ability to translate complex business requirements into technical specifications and provide solutions that meet both functional and technical needs.
Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to work collaboratively and train end-users.
Certifications (optional): Microsoft Dynamics GP certification or equivalent is a plus.
Preferred Skills
Familiarity with Power BI, Power Apps, and other Microsoft Power Platform tools for data visualization and automation.
Experience with other ERP or financial systems.
Project management skills and experience working in an Agile environment.
