Senior Government Sales Strategist

Drive Business Growth in Government and Public SectorThe ideal candidate for this role plays a pivotal part in driving business development and client engagement initiatives across government and public sector organizations.Main Responsibilities:Develop and execute a sales strategy to drive revenue growth and market share expansion in the government vertical.Manage the entire RFP lifecycle, from identifying tenders to ensuring compliance through bid submission and post-bid clarifications.Build strong relationships with key government departments, public sector undertakings, and policy bodies.Collaborate with internal teams to craft competitive and compliant proposals that meet client needs.Oversee bid defense presentations, proposal negotiations, and contract finalization.Ensure alignment with company objectives while driving revenue growth in the government segment.Required Skills and Qualifications:A minimum of 12 years of experience in technology sales, with a strong track record of success in selling to government entities.Proven expertise in end-to-end RFP management, government tendering, bid preparation, and contract finalization.Strong understanding of government procurement norms, e-procurement portals, GEM, NIC, and tendering guidelines.Excellent stakeholder management, negotiation, and communication skills.Ability to operate independently and build long-term strategic relationships with key government bodies.Preferred Background:Experience leading or being part of major government digital transformation programs.Strong network within central and state government agencies.MBA or equivalent degree in Business, Marketing, or Technology (preferred).
