The Powai LCC teams support Nomura Powai entities, as well as LCC teams globally to ensure effective risk management of Legal, Compliance and Conduct related risks for the firm. Powai Legal comprises of the Corporate Legal and Transaction Legal functions, which provide advice and support on corporate, employment and transactional matters. The Offshore Legal team supports global teams on corporate and secretarial matters, Global Markets, and Masters documentation related requirements. Powai Compliance comprises of functions such as Core Compliance, Trade Surveillance, Electronic Communication Surveillance, Financial Crime Monitoring, Control Room & Disclosure Monitoring and Employee Compliance. The teams provide advisory and operations support to global / regional Compliance teams driven by global / regional policies and regulatory expectations.Business Unit Overview:The Global Masters Documentation Team is an extension of the: • London based Transaction Legal Team which covers our Europe, Middle East & Africa business; • New York based Legal Documentation Team which covers our Americas business;  and • Asia based Transaction Legal Team which covers our Asia Ex Japan ("AEJ") business.• Japan based Transaction Legal TeamThe core function of the team is to maintain and update a database and status tracking system for Derivative Master agreements, repurchase agreements, stock-lending agreements and other financial agreements. The tracking of these agreements, from drafting through to execution, is of great importance, as is the ability to easily review the terms of the executed agreements. The information fed into the database and tracking system is used to monitor risk, collateral and other exposure by various departments within the firm. The candidate will also be expected to analyse and provide information to the legal and business teams in response to queries relating to financial agreements, prepare reports and work on a variety of ad-hoc and regulatory projectsPosition Specifications: Corporate Title Analyst Functional Title Analyst Experience 1 - 2 years in the finance industry and derivatives background on swap, repurchase and stock lending master agreements, analysis of Legal opinions and nettings Qualification Graduate, Paralegal Role & Responsibilities: Assist regional Compliance teams with the on-boarding process for all new employees with respect to New Joiner Compliance Trainings  Assist regional Compliance teams with regards to the Annual Refresher Compliance Training requirements for employees Assist with the Compliance Policy Affirmations / Attestation program for employees, and ensure timely closure of the same Administer regional Training and Affirmation program revisions and roll outs, and monitor completion status in order to ensure timely closures Assist with regional Compliance Policies tracking, ongoing review and rollouts, and coordinate with regional owners / stakeholders on the same Ensure timely and accurate status reporting for all Training / Affirmations to stakeholders and business function as per defined requirements Coordinate with external vendors for training content development Prepare MI reporting and ensure accurate & timely reporting to all applicable stakeholders Identify, facilitate and implement process improvement ideas to improve efficiency Monitor, identify and escalate risks to local and regional management Role Requirements: Mandatory Domain / Technical Excellent analytical skills, an eye for detail Command over the English language (written and verbal) and excellent communication skills Understanding team dynamics and encouraging good relationships Timely escalations MS Excel skills are important (at least 'intermediate') Ability to
