We believe that long-term value to the client is the most important goal of our team, and technology is the tool to bring that value, and your contribution in the form of delivery, improvements and innovations can have a significant impact on the financial systemWhat's in it for you: We are seeking an experienced and meticulous Senior Associate -Revenue Accountant as part of Record to Report (R2R) in global finance team. Ensure timely and accurate recording/reporting of revenue working closely with cross functional teams. Support launch of new products ensuring proper revenue recognition and system implementation in SAP. Understand the business model / product contractual framework including performance obligations and deliver the revenue accounting process.Responsibilities: The Senior Associate is responsible for ensuring the ledger integrity encompassing several duties, including but not limited to:Month-End Close: Managing the end-to-end Revenue accounting within stipulated timelines as well as in adherence to the month end closing calendar ofOSTTRA. This involves:Revenue recognition, ensuring all transactions are accounted for in strict accordance with US GAAP (ASC 606) and/or IFRS 15.Manage revenue accounting for a high-volume of subscription-based (e.g., monthly, annual) and volume-based (e.g., usage, transactional) contracts.Maintain and manage deferred revenue and unbilled receivables schedules, ensuring accurate amortization and recognition.Handle accounting for contract modifications, including upgrades downgrades, co-terms, and cancellations.e) Ensure accurate revenue recognition for discounts, promotions, credits, and variable consideration.Reconciliation & Substantiation:Perform and oversee detailed monthly and quarterly revenue reconciliations between our billing systems (e.g., Sigma, Qlik or in-house system), sub-ledgers, and the general ledger (SAP).Tracking system volumes and pricing at product level across OSTTRA.Investigate, document, and resolve any identified discrepancies, variances, or reconciling items in a timely manner.Revenue Assurance & Leakage: Conduct comprehensive revenue leakagechecks to identify, quantify, and recover unbilled or under-billed revenue. Partnerwith Sales, Client Services, and Billing teams to remediate control gaps andimprove the quote-to-cash process.Reporting: Assist in preparing revenue-related disclosures and analysis for internal management reporting and external financial statements.Audit Support: Support internal and external audits by providing clear, auditable documentation and explanations for all revenue-related inquiries. Serve as the key point of contact for external auditors on all revenue-related inquiriesInternal Controls: To ensure month end processes are governed as per local policies and procedures and are complied with the internal financial control process at OSTTRA.Process Improvement: Proactively identifying opportunities to enhance and streamline accounting processes, leveraging automation and best practices to improve efficiency and accuracy.Initiatives / Projects: Lead initiatives / projects as required to support any business driven / system changes.Stakeholder Management: Collaborate cross-functionally with teams such as Group Financial Control, Legal Entity Control, FP& A, and Technical Accounting to strategically address and resolve ad-hoc financial and operational challenges.What We're Looking For:Basic Required Experience:To be successful in this role, candidates must possess a mix of Technical Professional competencies. They must be adept at:Experience: 10-12 years of relevant experience in an accounting or finance role, with a strong focus on Revenue accounting and assurance.Financial & Accounting Acumen: Good understanding of accounting principles (US GAAP) and financial reportingDriving Change & System Implementation: Good working experience in process & system transition (Preferably SAP). As a process owner, can play a key role in implementations before go-live and can manage post go-live.
