Position: Associate Manager – Systems
Position Reports to: C I O
Downline Reporting: None
Job Responsibilities:
Responsible for managing the organization’s IT infrastructure,
maintaining Windows-based systems, supporting end-users, and ensuring the security of company data.
This role also encompasses purchasing and managing domain names, administering the helpdesk system, testing infrastructure-related implementations, and overseeing global infrastructure-related SOPs and policies.
Additionally, the role includes managing a contract staff member who serves as a backup to ensure continuity in operations.
System Administration
- Manage, configure, and monitor Windows servers and related systems to ensure optimal performance and availability.
- Perform regular system backups, ensuring data integrity and disaster recovery readiness.
- Apply necessary patches, updates, and upgrades to maintain system security and performance.
- Setup, configure, and manage user accounts in Windows and Azure Active Directory.
- Setup and configure new Windows workstations (laptops and desktops) following the company’s SOP.
- Maintain comprehensive records of system configurations, changes, and backups.
Network and Domain Management
- Monitor and maintain network infrastructure, addressing any connectivity or performance issues.
- Oversee the purchase, renewal, and management of company domain names.
- Administer core network services, such as DNS, DHCP, and VPN, ensuring their efficient operation.
Helpdesk System Administration
- Administer and configure the helpdesk system, ensuring it meets the organization’s support needs.
- Resolve user issues related to hardware, software, and system access.
- Provide training and documentation for users on helpdesk tools and processes.
Information Security and Data Protection
- Not disclosing password information to anyone
- Implement and monitor security measures to safeguard the organization’s data and systems from unauthorized access, damage, or theft.
- Conduct regular security audits and vulnerability assessments to identify and mitigate risks.
- Ensure compliance with organizational policies, industry standards, and regulatory requirements related to data security.
- Investigate security breaches or incidents and ensure timely remediation.
- Take proactive precautions to protect IT assets from physical theft or damage.
Global Infrastructure SOPs and Policy Management
- Develop, manage, and update Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and policies for global infrastructure operations.
- Ensure that infrastructure policies align with business goals, industry standards, and regulatory requirements.
- Review and update SOPs regularly to reflect changes in technology, security practices, and business needs.
- Ensure that all team members and stakeholders are trained on relevant SOPs and policies.
Infrastructure Testing and Implementation
- Conduct testing for new infrastructure tools and implementations, ensuring their functionality and compatibility.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to assess requirements for new infrastructure projects and ensure successful implementation.
- Provide feedback and recommendations based on testing results to optimize system performance.
Team and Backup Management
- Supervise and manage contract staff who serve as backup for IT operations.
- Ensure effective knowledge transfer and readiness of backup staff to manage operations during absences or emergencies.
Operational and SHE Compliance
- Participate in Safety, Health, and Environment (SHE) activities, including audits and incident reporting.
- Safety of the work environment including people and properties of the Company.
- Meeting SHE targets and KPIs.
- Reporting of SHE activities / concerns/ incidents/ near miss accidents/ accidents / near miss investigations.
- Protect IT systems and data from potential damage or theft and report incidents promptly.
- Follow SHE procedures to ensure a safe and secure work environment.

- You Should be committed to maintain the integrity and confidentiality of the computer systems you manage. While System / Network administrators must always be guided by their own professional judgement, LifeStyles expects that consideration of this code will help when difficulties arise.
Required Skillset - Technical Expertise
- Proficiency in managing Windows server environments and network services (e.g., DNS, DHCP).
- Experience in managing and implementing system backups, recovery processes, and disaster recovery strategies.
- Knowledge of IT security practices, including encryption, access control, and vulnerability management.
- Experience in developing and maintaining global infrastructure SOPs and policies.
- Expertise in setting up and managing user accounts in Windows and Azure Active Directory.
- Proficiency in setting up and configuring Windows workstations (laptops and desktops) following standard operating procedures (SOPs).
Soft Skills
- Strong problem-solving abilities to address complex IT challenges.
- Effective communication skills for training end-users and collaborating with stakeholders.
- Leadership and organizational skills to manage contract staff and ensure smooth operations.
- Detail-oriented with the ability to manage multiple priorities and ensure policy adherence.
