Position: Chief Financial Officer (CFO)

Location: IIT Delhi Campus

Contract Period: 3 Years (renewable based on performance and organizational needs)

Experience

  • Minimum 10 years of professional experience in finance leadership roles.
  • Preference for candidates with 15 years or more experience in relevant fields.

Qualification: Chartered Accountant (CA)/ MBA (Finance) or Company Secretary (CS), with preference for candidates holding both qualifications.


Key Responsibilities

1. Financial Leadership:

  • Lead the financial and accounting operations of the Foundation, ensuring efficiency and compliance.
  • Develop financial strategies to support organizational growth and sustainability.
  • Establish robust Financial Management & Controls, risk management protocols, financial reporting and compliances.
  • Engage the audit, and investment committees 

 

2. Strategic Planning and Execution:

  • Collaborate with the leadership team for Strategic planning, budgeting and performance reviews to align financial goals with the organization’s strategic objectives.
  • Lead efforts to secure funding, manage budgets, and ensure optimal allocation of resources.

 

3. Compliance and Governance:

  • Ensure compliance with Ministry of Corporate Affairs (MCA) norms and private equity share transfer processes.
  • Navigate government schemes and policies across ministries such as MEITY, DST, DBT, MSME, and others.
  • Convene and manage structured board meetings to ensure transparency and accountability.
  • Manage and comply with government reporting requirements, tax filings, and related requirements.

 

4. Startup and Innovation Ecosystem:

  • Support financial planning and structuring for startups within the innovation ecosystem.
  • Build partnerships with investors, institutions, and stakeholders to support entrepreneurial ventures.

 

5. Project Management:

  • Lead projects related to financial structures, organizational sustainability, and cash flow management.
  • Ensure the successful execution of financial initiatives aligned with organizational goals and travel across the country for managing partnerships as well as for project monitoring and review as per the requirement.


Skills and Expertise

  • Expertise in managing financial operations for public, private, and/ or academic institutions.
  • Proficiency in private equity share transfers and compliance.
  • Strong understanding of regulatory schemes and compliance frameworks across multiple ministries.
  • Competence in financial management, project management, and MCA compliances
  • Exceptional analytical, organizational, and decision-making skills.
